🔥 F ive 100% practical days to learn how to design, build and light a Rocket Mass Heater: an efficient and sustainable heating system that combines clean combustion and heat accumulation in thermal mass.

🌋 What is a Rocket Mass Heater?

A rocket mass cook er is a high-performance heating system that burns wood completely in a well-insulated combustion chamber and stores the heat in a thermal mass (adobe, clay or stone bench).

• Efficiency: Up to 5 times more efficient than a traditional wood cooker, achieving around 90% combustion and releasing heat slowly over several hours or even days.

• 🧱 Construction: They can be easily self-built, using accessible and natural materials, ideal for those looking for sustainable and economical heating solutions.

• 🌀 Design: The combustion chamber and chimney generate a natural draught that optimises combustion and reduces fuel consumption.

• 🌿 Applications: Widely used in bio-construction and permaculture, providing thermal comfort and low environmental impact.

  

🧰 In this course you will learn:

• Principles of clean combustion and Rocket design.

• Calculation and construction of the thermal mass bank.

• Selection of natural materials and insulation.

• Ignition, safety and maintenance.

• Adaptation of the design to different spaces or climates.

  09:00-19:00 (with lunch break and siesta)

Possibility of doing the whole course or joining from Friday.

Contribution for participation on Friday and Saturday €270.
