The Raga's Orchestra

"The Raga's Orchestra" is a musical and educational ensemble that merges the depth of raga—the ancient art of Indian classical music—with the creative freedom of contemporary improvisation.

We are a living orchestra, in which each member is simultaneously a performer, a conduit, and a creator, in a space where music transcends technique to become a transformative experience.

The power of sound

Our approach is based on the power of sound as a path to self-knowledge, healing, and the expansion of consciousness.

Through modal structures inspired by ragas, we explore soundscapes that invite deep listening, inner silence, and connection between the orchestra members and the audience.

Composition of the musical group

Govinda Schlegel (sitar)

I am an artist, musician, and multi-instrumentalist specializing in Indian classical music.
Music is a journey that took me to India, to the great masters of classical music.
She brings special care to our Ashtanga retreats and Ashtanga Yoga teacher training. Her vegetarian food nourishes the soul, lovingly prepared with local and organic produce. Her Indian classical music is performed with sarod, sitar,...

Paula Sara (violin)

Sara Moon. Teacher, artist, musician, and passionate composer who, with her violin and melodies, softens the heart and reaches places she could never have imagined

Dario Álvarez (cello)

Dario Alvarez is a Cuban cellist, composer, and creator who fuses classical music with new sounds. With a global vision, he aspires to be a citizen of the world and share his music without borders

Eduardo Guzman (guitar, flute)

Eduardo Guzmán is a Spanish guitarist, author, and composer who has traveled to several countries to enrich his musical style.
He has spent many years playing and studying various branches and theories of music, only to realize that feeling is more important than studying.

Kevin (tablas)

A passionate multi-instrumentalist exploring world music, he began studying jazz and flamenco 15 years ago and for the last 6 years has immersed himself deeply in the world of tabla and Indian classical music, guided by his gurus. FAMILY DAY - SUNDAY · MORNING

🌿PLANTING LIFE IN IKI-GAIA: BECOME A TREE GUARDIAN🌿

🌳✨ Family Day: Tree Guardians ✨🌳
📅 Sunday Morning

Can you imagine being part of the birth of an edible forest?
On Sunday, after each gala, we invite you to stay until Sunday to participate in a unique day in the heart of nature, designed for families, children, and planet lovers .

👉 What will we do?

  • Introductory talk on the benefits of edible forests and water harvesting , led by permaculture and environmental specialists

  • Planting activity : you can bring your own tree or plant one of ours and become its Guardian 🌱.

    • If you can't take care of him every day, no problem: the Association will pamper him for you . And you can come and visit him!

👉 Why an edible forest?

Edible forests regenerate the soil, store water, increase biodiversity, and produce healthy food for future generations. They are a way of sowing abundance, health, and life .

In addition, each tree will have a sign with a QR code , where you can discover its characteristics, benefits, and care tips. This way, you can stay connected with your tree and learn more about it, even from home.

🌟Come and share a full weekend (or a day if you can only come on Sunday) of nature, learning, community, and connecting with the Earth.

An educational and fun experience for adults and children alike.
