CHARITY MULTICULTURAL EVENING

The Raga's Orchestra

The Raga's Orchestra is a musical and educational ensemble that fuses the depth of raga—the ancient art of Indian classical music—with the creative freedom of contemporary improvisation.

We are a living orchestra, in which each member is simultaneously a performer, channel, and creator, in a space where music transcends technique to become a transformative experience.

The power of sound

Our approach is based on the power of sound as a path to self-knowledge, healing, and the expansion of consciousness. Through modal structures inspired by ragas, we explore soundscapes that invite deep listening, inner silence, and connection between orchestra members and audience.

Composition of the musical group

Govinda Schlegel (sitar)

I am an artist, musician, and multi-instrumentalist in the genre of Indian classical music.
Music is a journey that led me to India, to the great masters of classical music.
I bring special care to our Ashtanga retreats and Ashtanga Yoga teacher training. My vegetarian cuisine nourishes the soul, lovingly prepared with local and organic produce. My Indian classical music is performed on the sarod, sitar,...

Jose Podadera (saxophone)

Jose Podadera is a consciousness-raising artist, musician, saxophonist, and singer-songwriter from Malaga.
"My passion for music and movement led me to embrace art as a form of expression and a driving force in life."

Dario Álvarez (cello)

Darío Álvarez is a Cuban cellist, composer, and creator who fuses classical music with new sounds. With a global vision, he aspires to be a citizen of the world and share his music without borders.

Eduardo Guzman (guitar, flute)

Eduardo Guzmán is a Spanish guitarist, author, and composer who has traveled to several countries to enrich his musical style.
He has spent many years playing and studying various musical branches and theories, only to realize that it's not so much studying that it's just feeling.

Rafa (tablas)

A composer and multi-instrumentalist, he has been learning about India since 2001 under the guidance of his teacher, Pandit Ishwarlal Mishra, a great connoisseur of Indian music.
He has extensive training, living for long periods in Varanasi or Benares, Uttar Pradesh (India), where he learned northern classical music (Hindustani) and followed the tradition of the legendary Pandit Anhokelal Mishra.
Oral teaching from teacher to almuna.

🌿GROWING LIFE IN IKI-GAIA: BECOME A TREE GUARDIAN🌿

Family Day: Tree Guardians
Sunday, September 21 · Morning

Can you imagine being part of the birth of an edible forest?
This September 21st we invite you to a unique day in nature, designed for families, children, and everyone who loves the planet.

What’s happening?

  • Introductory talk on the benefits of edible forests and water harvesting, led by experts in permaculture and ecology.

  • Tree planting activity: bring your own tree or plant one of ours and become its Guardian .

    • If you can’t care for it every day, no worries: our Association will lovingly take care of it for you.

Why an edible forest?

Edible forests regenerate soil, store water, increase biodiversity, and provide healthy food for future generations. They are a way to plant abundance, health, and life.

Plus, each tree will have a sign with a QR code so you can discover its characteristics, benefits, and care tips—and stay connected to your tree even from home.

Come share a day of nature, learning, community, and connection with the Earth.
An educational and fun experience for kids and adults alike.
