The content is difficult to explain in words, it has to be experienced.

RIE and let’s laugh and get tangled up

The great opportunity to get to know the 240 hectares of our Healing Biotope is approaching,
its key projects and part of the driving group.
In this 3-day open day we will host the summer multi-meeting of the Iberian Ecovillage Network (RIE) to continue weaving the network among the tribe.

After the event we will have 2 sociocracy courses: 1 basic level course of 3 full days starting on September 14th, and another advanced level course starting on Monday 19th (also 3 days).
If you are interested in participating, please write us! Places are very very limited!

In IKI-GAIA, since the purchase of the land has materialized last May of this year, we are at full capacity attending processes of removals and arrivals of pioneers, creation of structure and basic infrastructures that allow us to advance with the projects and gradually welcome the more than 60 people who are already part of the project and, of course, all those who are in the process of being accepted.

There are still places available for pioneers and settlers in IKI-GAIA! Here you can see the process of how approaching our project.

Despite all the challenges we are facing at the beginning, we welcome the RIE meeting with great enthusiasm as part of our purpose and life journey to continue weaving the web of the emerging paradigm shift and, at the same time, to give the opportunity for all beings who feel called to co-create our Healing Biotope in Malaga to approach us and advance in the process of getting to know us. A Centre of Healing-Action guarded by a large and growing village of beings aligned with a common Dream of manifesting a new model of society.

We invite those of you interested in seeing if this life project can be an option for you to read all the public information we have on the web and even to become sympathizing members of the promoting association so that we can send you detailed information about the ecovillage and our vision and proposal, and so that you come as informed as possible so that we can make the most of the time on both sides and move forward with details.

And if you really want to get to know us, come and collaborate ;)…. For the preparations of the RIE we still need some volunteer hands ideally with experience in carpentry, bio-construction, dry water construction, masonry, cooking for groups….

Our project’s Rationale: our kids and teenagers and the next 7 generations !

Only they will be able to find the right solutions to the problems that we are facing!

For an ecovillage project to be socially sustainable and for there to be an intergenerational relay, motherhood, childhood and adolescents must be at the center and be the protagonists !!!

In IKI-GAIA all the adults are referents of the youngest and our Biotopo de Sana-Acción is carefully designed to close the cycle of life, from birth to death, with accompaniment and respect for each stage and individuality.

In this meeting we will offer a chillout area for babies and toddlers where mothers will be able to warm up food for their babies, breastfeed or simply rest and enjoy the space.

In addition, on Saturday we want to share with the tribe interested in our new educational project free-forest school IKI-GAIA and create spaces where we can exchange, inspire and nurture us on processes of parenting, motherhood, respectful education and all that is alive among the tribes that visit us. Our Ecovillage is a smoke, alcohol and drug free space. Smoking is only allowed in the designated areas.

We appreciate that during your stay with us you respect these basic rules of coexistence.

If you arrive in your own car, it is very easy: you put in the navigator: “CORTIJO PUERTO DEL SOL” and it will take you to the base of our Ecovillage.

Before arriving you will find the sign “PARKING “. There you will find some spaces to park your car, you can ask for information and register for the event.

From the car park we will offer a shuttle service to take you to the Cortijo if you don’t want to make the hike up

DETAILS OF THE ECOALDEA IKIGAIA MEETING FROM April 29th to 1st May 2022

BASIC INFORMATION

This following month of April we celebrate the big step of the acquisition of the land. We have organized the last gathering for those interested in joining us as founders of IKI-GAIA .

The event from 28th April to 1st May will be held in our space in Almayate.

If you want to join us, we need you to fill this form and send us an email to semilla@semillamontealegre.org confirming your attendance as soon as possible.

The meals, prepared with love (organic and vegan), for all the event from Thursday to breakfast on Tuesday, both included, will be managed by Semilla Monte Alegre to facilitate eating in a circle of sharing.

During those days it is not allowed to organize your meals individually, only for babies and people with special needs that request it.

Payments for the meals will be done the first day of arrival, after breakfast, according to the schedule established by the Treasury.

The organic and vegan menus are, generally, gluten and lactose free, and with no sugars added. For breakfast and snacks, we offer seasonal fruit and homemade rye and spelt bread with sourdough, as well as gluten-free bread. If you have any food intolerance or need a gluten-free breakfast, write it in the questionnaire.

ARRIVALS: We welcome you from Thursday on (the program will begin Friday at 9 a.m.)

DEPARTURES: It is possible to stay until Monday in our space close to the coast in Almayate (10 or 15€ / night). very limited spaces!!

CONTRIBUTIONS FOR PARTICIPATING IN THE EVENT

The amounts have been calculated to cover the costs of all the organizers and the logistics of the event, so that the organization of these gatherings are neither an additional human and financial cost, nor do they generate debts for our project.

This contribution is part of the booking that you have to send us through bank transfer to the bank account number above.

The participation in this event has a fixed cost of 50€ per adult (children free) to cover the logistics costs (with independence of the participation days). An exception can be made to allow the participation in only 1 day (Saturday) of the event to those interested who live close by and are already advanced in the process of approaching the project.

BOOKING ACCOMMODATION:

To book a bed in the event, write to us as soon as possible or call us: we are closing registrations this Friday!!

We have some private accommodation and also in sharing spaces. Contact us to know the availability and the prices.

You can also sleep in your own van or motorhome, or pitch a tent (we can offer tents if you don’t have one) for a contribution of 5€ per adult and day (8€ couples and families).

CONTRIBUTIONS FOR MEALS (you can pay the meals in cash during the event, no bank transfers needed!! You only need to pay the fixed participation cost for the event to book your place.

The fixed contribution for meals per adult for the event is 75€ (total), with independence of the arrival and departure dates within the event schedule. The contribution of those who only take part in the tour is 25€.

Those who arrive before Friday or stay after Sunday have to make a contribution per meal of 10€ (lunch/dinner) and 5€ (breakfast).

CHILDREN:

Children under 2 yrs: free.

Children 2-5 yrs per day: 12€

Children 6-12 yrs per day: 18€

All throughout the day, there will be tea, herbal teas, nuts and fruit at your disposal.

STEPPING FORWARD WITH CONFIDENCE

It has been 15 months of great effort and full dedication since we made the call to find the guardians of the IKI-GAIA vision that has been 8 years in the making from our Association Semilla Monte Alegre.
To consolidate a group of pioneers with economic and emotional stability ready to take the step and continue with our monthly meetings and great common dream in the middel of this systemic crisis we are going through, has been an adventure full of learnings !

WE ALREADY WANT TO THANK YOU FROM THE HEART, for having approached and resonated with our proposal, even if you only formed part of our process in a meeting or a call.

Like everything in these moments, it can be overwhelming, but we feel that we have enough RESOURCES, CONFIDENCE, and enough economy gathered NOW!!! and above all, with a wonderful and sincronized IKI-GAIA SEED GROUP!!! Strong and determined to bet on co-creating this Healing Biotope in Malaga. An opportunity for our chikis and all generations where care for GAIA, life and relationships are back at the center.

We want to start 2022 creating the foundations that encourage the entry and participation of more beings that are approaching and all those who want to join us to create our parallel reality in the near future. An opportunity for our kids and all the generations where the care of GAIA, of life and relationships will again be at the center.

We have 6 different types of contracts to welcome all the profiles and to guarantee your rights and your reimbursement in case you want to leave.

ONLINE MEETINGS

Send us an email to semilla@semillamontealegre.org and fill this questionarie if you can participate in any of the meetings so that we can send you the invitation link to the meeting or tell you more details about the meeting face-to-face (very limited vacancies!!).

We would be grateful if you could share with us how is your present moment, as well as your doubts and concerns so that we can answer them privately or in the meetings.

We invite you to read all the information we have published in the ecovillage section of our website to come with as much information as possible to our meeting. If you haven't read anything yet, you can start with this post.

We would like to use this internal communication to let you know that we are working on the launch of the first open crowdfunding to cover the minimum investments that the project needs in this Phase I to take off with force, and that we have calculated in 300,000 €: reforms of some infrastructures of the farmhouse that allow us to have larger communal rooms for the educational project and the Music Academy, tanks to store the water of the fountain, implementation of the food forest, earthworks to prepare the space where we will install the first caravans, etc.

From the IKI-GAIA motor group we feel that we can reach at least 225.000€ of the 300.000€ we need with your help. On the one hand, we would like that this first economic impulse that we need arrives blessed from this closest circle, with money coming from your hands. And on the other hand, we are aware that launching crowdfunding campaigns of more than 75.000€ are very difficult and there is a risk of having to return everything if it is not reached.

!!For us it would be wonderful to undertake the first investments with the economy gathered by our motor group and your trust before launching the more open campaign that we are preparing!!

XVIII ANDALUSIAN FAIR FOR AGRICULTURAL BIODIVERSITY

Semilla Monte Alegre participates with 2 stands at the fair where it will present the progress of the various projects it promotes, including the co-creation of a SanaAcción Biotope and a sustainable ecovillage in the Axarquia region of Malaga where they grow from a Gaia Learning Community to a school of life for all generations.

WHEN?

Semilla Monte Alegre will make 2 short presentations both days from 13:30 to 14:00 and from 17 to 17:30h on Saturday at the sales stand of the association. In addition you can learn about family massage with "Kansu Bowl".

WHAT IS THE FABA?

The Andalusian Fair of Agricultural Biodiversity (FABA) is the annual meeting of people and groups committed to local, traditional varieties and seed exchange in Andalusia.

It is an event open to the general public, free of charge, and for those people or groups interested in cultivated biodiversity in particular.

OBJECTIVE

The FABA (ANDALUSIAN FAIR OF AGRICULTURAL BIODIVERSITY) also aims to create a space where farmers can exchange seeds and share traditional knowledge associated with their management.
This annual event addresses the different aspects of the dynamic and community management of cultivated biodiversity.

FABA PROGRAM

Our Gaia Learning Community has been selected to share its experience in this international summit. The return to the countryside is a process that, as we see, after the Pandemic is happening more consciously among large sectors of the population that yearn for a lifestyle more in harmony with their values, reconnection with Nature, peace and tranquility, and that, when we have children, we have considered more than once.

Many of us feel, as a result of becoming parents, that we have no choice but to be consistent with the lifestyle and values we want to instill in them.

Our children and great teachers help us to reconnect with the source and move mountains if necessary, to take the step. The union in this sense with initiatives and human beings in the same search that want to co-responsible for the education of their children and are aware of the role of referents that we have while we accompany them in this stage, is a guarantee of success and co-creation of the collective experience that we want to live and offer them.

We are currently shaping an educational cooperative of mapadres (mothers and fathers) more focused on what we want with the intention of creating a free educational project that covers the entire period of compulsory schooling. In the great process of joining many of us to a holistic life project with a free school + ecovillage where we can share life projects in a place of our own.

With joy we announce and welcome you to the first open day meeting of the IKI-GAIA ecovillage of the fall where we invite you to come (and / or see us again), to study together this opportunity that is presented to us and we do not want to miss!!!… because it is about co- creating and investing in our future now!!!

You will have the opportunity to learn about our educational community project GAIA that wants to grow into an educational cooperative and the manifestation of our great dream and life journey: the ecovillage IKIGAIA. In addition, you will learn about the opportunities and great advantages that we offer to co-founders of the project who bet on IKI-GAIA in this phase prior to the signing of the purchase of the place! Process that we want to carry out after this event with your granite of love and confidence!!!
