ONLINE INTIMATE MEETING FOR MEMBERS

We have created these 2 formats (online and in person) in order to get to know each other and the possible synergies that may arise after these more intimate meetings with those of you who resonate with our project and our moment.

We would like to take this opportunity to inform you that we have already scheduled February's monthly intimate online meeting for this Sunday 13rd from 8pm to 9pm to deepen our knowledge and collaborations with those of you who are already sympathetic members (you have taken step 2 of our process of getting to know each other).

In March it will be on 13ten.

In the intimate meetings you are the protagonists. We will be happy to dedicate space to listen to your feelings and concerns about the project and we will try to answer your questions as best we can.

If you are a member of our association, we invite you to send us your questions before the meeting so that we can prepare some additional material that may help you to understand some aspects.

INTIMATE FACE-TO-FACE ECOVILLAGE MEETINGS

Every month we open our space and hearts to those of you who are moving forward in your process of following the call to join an ecovillage project and resonate with our proposal, so that you can get to know a large part of the founding core group and the wonderful place of the Healing Biotope and its key projects.

SLOW-TOUR OF PERMACULTURE IN FEBRUARY (FORMATIVE WORKSHOP)

Due to the amount of requests we are receiving from people who want to do the approaching with us taking advantage of a training, we have decided to make a gap in our busy schedule (due to the process of growing to ecovillage 😉 we are not focused on trainings right now). It will be next Saturday 12th February.

At the same time that we can get to know each other better, in this Permaculture course you will have the opportunity to see and learn about the advantages of Permaculture and its tangible results in one of the farms that we have been coordinating for years in Macharaviaya (Málaga)

EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES IN FEBRUARY GAIA EDUCATIONAL COMMUNITY

We return to give focus and structure to the extra-curricular activities 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) with enriching and very original learning proposals for our kids and their families. Always in the afternoons from 15h to 20h/20h30h.

MONDAY: EXTRACURRICULAR CLASSES OF MUSIC AND PERMACULTURE

We return to accompany the little ones in an environment of musical and sustainable learning.

On Mondays the music classes (piano, double bass...) and the school organic garden will be guided and accompanied by the great jazz double bass player and renowned Swiss permaculturist Daniel Stocker.

WEDNESDAY 9 FEBRUARY FROM 15:00 TO 17:00: FAMILY YOGA PROPOSAL

Led by Cristina Sosa, a yoga teacher trained in France and specialised in the transmission of Yoga adapted to the world of children.

We inaugurate yoga workshops in tribe once a month. Yoga in family, accompanies us to share in a positive, creative and loving form. Where play and compassionate attention are our guides. The sessions are made up of exercises of concentration, attention, balance, breathing through duo practices. At the end of the session, we return to calm, centre ourselves and share our feelings.

FRIDAYS: GAIA-SLOW TOURS

After a short break, we are excited to inform you that we have started with this venture that promotes multicultural and intergenerational exchange, while we value our environment, culture and customs of the hand of Rakel Dominguez (anthropologist, permaculture, sustainability educator, manager of the Gaia Learning community and main promoter of the ecovillage IKI-GAIA).

If so, great, because we have started the period this new year with the Friday afternoon excursions from 15h to 20h open to families who want to get to know us or complement the educational proposal of their children in the open air and learning about sustainability.

STEPPING FORWARD WITH CONFIDENCE

It has been 15 months of great effort and full dedication since we made the call to find the guardians of the IKI-GAIA vision that has been 8 years in the making from our Association Semilla Monte Alegre.
To consolidate a group of pioneers with economic and emotional stability ready to take the step and continue with our monthly meetings and great common dream in the middel of this systemic crisis we are going through, has been an adventure full of learnings !

WE ALREADY WANT TO THANK YOU FROM THE HEART, for having approached and resonated with our proposal, even if you only formed part of our process in a meeting or a call.

Like everything in these moments, it can be overwhelming, but we feel that we have enough RESOURCES, CONFIDENCE, and enough economy gathered NOW!!! and above all, with a wonderful and sincronized IKI-GAIA SEED GROUP!!! Strong and determined to bet on co-creating this Healing Biotope in Malaga. An opportunity for our chikis and all generations where care for GAIA, life and relationships are back at the center.

We want to start 2022 creating the foundations that encourage the entry and participation of more beings that are approaching and all those who want to join us to create our parallel reality in the near future. An opportunity for our kids and all the generations where the care of GAIA, of life and relationships will again be at the center.

We would be grateful if you could share with us how is your present moment, as well as your doubts and concerns so that we can answer them privately or in the meetings.

We invite you to read all the information we have published in the ecovillage section of our website to come with as much information as possible to our meeting. If you haven't read anything yet, you can start with this post.

We would like to use this internal communication to let you know that we are working on the launch of the first open crowdfunding to cover the minimum investments that the project needs in this Phase I to take off with force, and that we have calculated in 300,000 €: reforms of some infrastructures of the farmhouse that allow us to have larger communal rooms for the educational project and the Music Academy, tanks to store the water of the fountain, implementation of the food forest, earthworks to prepare the space where we will install the first caravans, etc.

From the IKI-GAIA motor group we feel that we can reach at least 225.000€ of the 300.000€ we need with your help. On the one hand, we would like that this first economic impulse that we need arrives blessed from this closest circle, with money coming from your hands. And on the other hand, we are aware that launching crowdfunding campaigns of more than 75.000€ are very difficult and there is a risk of having to return everything if it is not reached.

Semilla Monte Alegre participates with 2 stands at the fair where it will present the progress of the various projects it promotes, including the co-creation of a SanaAcción Biotope and a sustainable ecovillage in the Axarquia region of Malaga where they grow from a Gaia Learning Community to a school of life for all generations.

Semilla Monte Alegre will make 2 short presentations both days from 13:30 to 14:00 and from 17 to 17:30h on Saturday at the sales stand of the association. In addition you can learn about family massage with "Kansu Bowl".

WHAT IS THE FABA?

The Andalusian Fair of Agricultural Biodiversity (FABA) is the annual meeting of people and groups committed to local, traditional varieties and seed exchange in Andalusia.

It is an event open to the general public, free of charge, and for those people or groups interested in cultivated biodiversity in particular.

OBJECTIVE

The FABA (ANDALUSIAN FAIR OF AGRICULTURAL BIODIVERSITY) also aims to create a space where farmers can exchange seeds and share traditional knowledge associated with their management.
This annual event addresses the different aspects of the dynamic and community management of cultivated biodiversity.

Our Gaia Learning Community has been selected to share its experience in this international summit. After 3 school years of experience promoting our pilot educational project Gaia through our association Semilla Monte Alegre, we feel we are in a moment of change and transformation. PERMACULTURE ACADEMY

This situation and the unleashed systemic crisis has reconfirmed that we were on the right path! TRAINING AND EVENTS

Are you passionate about organizing events, courses, offering face-to-face and/or online training? From September we start again with webinars, face-to-face meetings, and we want to launch an online platform to give impetus and share all our knowledge, gifts and talents, inspire each other and continue learning.

From the platform promoted by our association GAIA-VESAD "for a healthy and dignified life and education" we want to promote the new educational paradigm that is making its way. Through a holistic educational platform of the new humanity, we want to cover the learning needs of all generations, and offer tools to educators and parents who educate at home or in small educational projects with fewer resources.

Graphic designers, computer scientists, programmers, communicators, and all kinds of support in advertising and network management, marketing, logistics, cooking, animation, etc. are welcome.

BIOCONSTRUCTION BIOCLIMATIC CAMPING

Although the farm has already renovated infrastructure to start with some projects from minute 0 (school, bakery, tourist accommodation, etc., we have many square meters built to be renovated and a unique bioclimatic camping project very ambitious that encompasses the entire surface of the land and where we are working on the holistic design.

For this, we need to expand the multidisciplinary team of collaborators (permaculturists, biobuilders, engineers, architects, site managers, etc.) who would like to try and project themselves in our ecovillage and/or contribute in this design and planning phase, learn and develop professionally in this area that will generate many jobs as soon as the implementation phase begins.

"Learning beim doing". While the permits and funds for the implementation of the official construction of the campsite arrive, there is a lot to be done and we will be financing them through courses and events bringing experts in the field that will teach us.

Located within a Healing Biotope that we co-create together, our model of eco-school, slow tourism and sustainable ecovillage is designed to generate the minimum impact between the community of beings that inhabit it and the Nature around us.

We apply in a practical way water retention techniques in landscapes and regenerative practices,in order to help create more biodiversity and optimal environments for education, housing and sustainable ways of earning a living, where we can live and fully develop ourselves in complete harmony with nature around a resilient, coherent and mutually supportive social network where we are all references. Seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, feeling and experiencing in first person why certain practices and lifestyles help to care for the planet, while we care for people, will be an unforgettable sensorial experience that will help us understand why we have reached such a state of climatic emergency and disconnection with our essence, as well as reflect on what we can do and put into practice to reverse the situation in our daily lives.

Guided by the principles of Ethics, Common Sense, Shared Prosperity and Circular Economy, the whole family will be able to benefit from this life project designed to offer the best conditions of psycho-social-educational, emotional and motor development to children and future generations.

In a family and rural environment of explosive landscape beauty, we facilitate the participation in our ecovillage to volunteers, visitors and clients through the Socio-cultural Center and Ecological Restaurant, the Bioclimatic Camping, the Iki-Gaia Eco-Learning Community or the Farm School, the Co-housing of the Elderly, the SaLUZ Center, the Retreat House, the Birth House, the trainings, workshops and events that we organize or collaborate with some of their key projects in the fields of agro-ecology, technology, renewable energies, health, holistic education or creativity, etc. It is a wonderful opportunity to work on individual and group development to discover our ikigai and put our gifts and talents at the service of the continium cambium and what it takes to promote the new paradigm that today's society and the planet need.

Sharing as in a great Family by embracing each other in diversity, recognizing each other in complementarity and giving back to our elders, the place they deserve in our society, as sources of experience and wisdom, is one of our main purposes.

Our Iki-Gaia ecovillage model is designed so that all generations can enjoy and benefit from the nutritious and necessary intergenerational, interdisciplinary and multicultural exchange of knowledge that occurs naturally and organically when we bring together the different cycles of life and different cultures. Through carefully designed residential, work and meeting spaces and celebrations, all generations will feel welcome to let their reason for being emerge and express their individuality, feeling they are heard, useful and participating in the co-creation of a great Common Dream that feeds back to each individual dream that is integrated into the global project in line with their vision.

This beautiful project, located in a large Mediterranean Andalusian forest, with majestic oaks of even more than 9 meters high spread across the landscape, gives you the oportunity to participate in diferent ways: spending some time in the bioclimatic campsite, with even the possibility of living there, in sustainable and passive housing of great comfort. It is an opportunity to live coherently covering vital needs of your whole family - education, food, health, etc.

How to start the process

We are aware that the regain of our SOVEREIGNTY in the fields of HEALTH, EDUCATION, FOOD, and ENERGY are the basis of any successful process of deep transformation of society, as well as the central role played by individualized and respectful Education in the formation of FREE BEINGS with a critical spirit. We want to BE GOOD REFERENCES AND SOURCES OF INSPIRATION to facilitate from the EXAMPLE the replication of the New Paradigm in all areas of life.

Driven by the implementation of the educational project for children of compulsory school age that next year 2021/22 would start its 4th year of life and an interdisciplinary Academy of PermaCulture - Semilla Monte Alegre - and for all generations that nourishes it with practice, wisdom and coherence, our Center of Inspira-San-Acción offers us the ideal framework to develop all other projects that feed back into the school: Farm School and Holistic Livestock, Science, Arts and Technology Laboratories, Arts and Crafts Schools, Socio-cultural Center, etc. Projects aligned with Iki-Gaia's vision that promote the development of SOVEREIGN beings capable of discerning, facing the challenges of society and the planet and materializing their individual and collective dreams.

This project is born from the recognition that Education has the central role in the formation of VALUES and in social action, as well as from the total commitment with the TRANSFORMATION of the educational process to promote a NEW PARADIGM that favors the replication of sustainable and equitable societies.

Our motor and integral life project, which is already in its third year (and already has a homeschooling program approved in Estonia while the approval process is underway in Spain), allows the reunion of families with similar values who want to be participants in the co-creation of a different holistic school where the cooperation of the entire educational community - students, companions and family members - among themselves and with their environment, is essential for the proper development of the school.

Acting locally and thinking globally, we encourage the participation and collaboration of people from different generations, disciplines and cultures, aware that the future of the planet will depend on us offering them, NOW and despite the context of integral crisis that we are suffering, the best conditions for their psycho-social, physical and emotional development.

Due to the great acceptance and demand that exists between tourists, foreign resident families, and Spanish families that want to complement the education of their children with a more outdoor educational proposal that emphasizes on environmental education and values, we have decided to open a more public area, a bioclimatic campsite, and offer attractive options for the whole family designed to bring children closer to nature and develop their commitment to the environment. With a large natural swimming pool, a farm-school where the children can feed the animals, a large garden area with native trees and fruit trees to learn about the local ecosystem and the arts of farming, a biotope where they can discover how the amphibians of the region live, etc. being at Iki-Gaia will be an unforgettable experience.

Through Iki-Gaia Slow rural tourism, you will also be able to approach this holistic project as a collaborator and try out a more conscious and coherent lifestyle, complementing, at the same time, the holistic education of your children in an environment of Nature, respect and sustainability that values our heritage, customs and traditions in a very enjoyable and original way.

We will also organize tours along the hiking trails so that you can discover the vegetation and fauna native to the area; climbing days; visits to the mini Iki-gaia Adventure Park and other spots of tourist interest in the area.

And to complement the proposal of the campsite: concerts, workshops and talks of all kinds about the environment, recognition of edible wild plants, healthy family cooking, arts and crafts, etc. and of course, circus shows to make your stay in our campsite an unforgettable experience!

Located in one of the most beautiful places in Axarquia, the Iki-gaia campsite will offer different types of accommodation so that you can choose the one that best suits your needs: spacious bungalows, stone, wood or earthbag houses, plots to erect your own tent or yurt or park your vehicle or caravan, caravans to accommodate a whole family, as well as shelters built of wood and comfortable cotton tents with enough space for four people. All powered by wind energy and heating systems for the winter based on olive pits.

Pioneers, collaborators and long and short term visitors, as well as organized groups from all over the world will be able to rent even campsite cores to do their own training or activities and participate in those offered by Iki-Gaia in a magical, unique and inspiring environment.

The designs of our houses are conceived, paying special attention to the materials that we find in the area and the use of energy, prioritizing the passive systems to reduce the energy demand (good orientation, heavy elements with high thermal inertia, sizing of windows, compact designs, grouping of installations, etc).

With unbeatable acoustic, thermal and air quality comfort, the passive houses that we are planning in the campsite act in a similar way to an insulated thermos, since it maintains its content at a correct temperature, without the need for active heating or cooling, as happens with a coffee machine. Its ventilation system imperceptibly supplies the necessary fresh air, avoiding the formation of humidity and the generation of mould.
